Frequently Asked Questions

The questions players ask most about Frozen Ship.

Is Frozen Ship single-player or does it have co-op / multiplayer?

Frozen Ship is confirmed as a single-player experience. There is no co-op or online multiplayer at the Early Access launch. Nionetix has not announced multiplayer, so for now plan on a solo captain's run.

What platforms is Frozen Ship available on?

Frozen Ship launched on Steam and the Epic Games Store for Windows PC (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Console versions (PS5, Xbox, Game Pass) and a native Mac build have not been confirmed.

Is Frozen Ship worth buying in Early Access?

It's a promising survival-colony hybrid with a strong hook (the 18:00 curfew) and real management depth, scoring around 7.5/10 in early reviews. At the discounted EA price ($16.99) with a free demo available, it's a low-risk buy for fans of Frostpunk or The Long Dark who can tolerate Early Access rough edges.

What are the system requirements?

Minimum: Windows 10/11 (64-bit), 2.6 GHz quad-core CPU, 4 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1050, 10 GB storage. Recommended: 3.2 GHz quad-core, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 2060. See the full System Requirements guide for details.

Does Frozen Ship support mods?

Mod support is still early. There are no official mod tools yet at Early Access launch, but the community expects Steam Workshop and Nexus Mods hubs to grow as Nionetix opens up modding. Always back up saves and prefer verified sources.

Are there any cheat codes or console commands?

No. As of the Early Access launch there are no officially confirmed console codes or redeem codes. Any third-party site offering "Frozen Ship codes" is a scam — the game is single-player, so no code should ever ask for payment or login.
